| Michael Carrier Associate Vice President for Secondary Markets Government Affairs
| Michael Carrier is Associate Vice President of Secondary and Capital Markets for Government Affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). He is responsible for developing and advocating on behalf of the association on policies related to the housing government sponsored enterprises.
Carrier serves as the primary MBA contact for legislative and regulatory housing finance system relief efforts, as well as financial services supervision matters; and holds primary staff responsibilities for the Residential Secondary and Capital Markets Committee.
Prior to joining MBA in 2008, Carrier was a director in Fannie Mae's Compliance and Ethics department. Carrier's industry experience also includes serving as Director of Financial Institutions Policy for the National Association of Home Builders as well as Regulatory Counsel for the Conference of State Bank Supervisors. Carrier began his career with America's Community Bankers as a Regulatory Specialist.
Carrier received his J.D. from George Mason University of Law and his bachelor's degree from St. Anselm College, New Hampshire.
